Expertise
Numbers have always made sense to me, which naturally led me into finance. From starting as a basic accounts administrator to progressing into senior roles, I’ve relied on hard work, curiosity, and a bit of luck to grow and support the companies I’ve worked with.
I love how working at Secret Atlas allows me to shape the finance function from the ground up. Being part of a responsive and adaptable team means I can bring my industry experience and hands-on practice to create systems and solutions that are as unique as the company itself.
What excites me most is the opportunity to learn about new places and perspectives. I thought I was worldly before joining Secret Atlas, but this role has truly opened my eyes to new horizons, making every day both inspiring and rewarding.
Habitat
I’m originally from Kempton Park in the Johannesburg area of South Africa. Now, I live in the small town of Lowton near Warrington. Being back in the North West of England feels like coming home, close to family while still offering room to explore.
Living near the heart of the UK has shaped my lifestyle in the best way. Within a few hours, I can be in the rolling hills of Scotland or the sunny south, giving endless opportunities to discover new places and the natural beauty this country has to offer.
When it comes to landscapes, I’m drawn to the sea—there’s nothing more tranquil than the water—though the mountains have their own quiet magic that’s hard to resist.
Passion
Outside of work, my world revolves around my family, animals, and spending time with friends. I love being outdoors—walking and cycling—where the beauty of nature brings a sense of calm. Reading also keeps me grounded and curious.
I find inspiration in seeing the world through my daughters’ eyes. Their creativity and passion for the future are endlessly motivating. Although I no longer teach, I remain a qualified swim instructor and love watching children discover new skills and experiences. Scuba diving is another passion—I hope to return to the water with a BC and regulator and rediscover that underwater world.
I always make time for walking and watching football with my husband, and I’ve recently embraced new challenges like CrossFit and paddleboarding. CrossFit, in particular, started after joining Secret Atlas—both for fitness and the social connection it brings—even if some days the stairs feel like a mountain!
When it comes to sports, I cheer passionately for the Springboks internationally, and locally I follow Liverpool Football Club, both the men’s and women’s teams.

Questions & Answers
My Most Transformative Travel Experience
The Awesome Foursome adventure at the Knysna Heads along South Africa’s Garden Route. We rowed across the lagoon, hiked up the head, and abseiled down a 100-meter cliff to a base just 30 meters above the sea. Then we quad-biked around the reserve, hiked back down, and rowed back to where we started—a full day of thrills.
What made it unforgettable was the sheer exhilaration of trying something completely new. Each challenge brought out sides of ourselves we hadn’t seen before, and the rush of adventure, discovery, and connection made it an experience I’ll never forget.
My Exploration Inspiration
My greatest inspiration to explore comes from my family—my husband and daughters. Their curiosity, energy, and sense of wonder push me to seek out new experiences, embrace adventure, and see the world through fresh eyes. I’m also inspired by Amelia Earhart, whose fearless approach to discovery and breaking boundaries resonates deeply with me
My Dream Adventure
I have so many dream trips, but the Great Barrier Reef has always held a special place in my imagination. It’s been a lifelong dream to experience its vibrant underwater world.
I would love to witness the reef’s incredible colours and diversity before it is lost—the schools of fish, the coral formations, and, of course, the turtles—lots and lots of turtles. Experiencing such natural beauty would be awe-inspiring and deeply unforgettable.
