Polar Travel Specialist

As a Polar Travel Specialist, you’ll be the trusted guide for our guests from the moment they enquire to the moment they return home. You’ll take personal ownership of each journey, offering a seamless and highly tailored service at every step. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships, has a deep passion for the polar regions, and shares our belief in authentic, small-group exploration.
You’ll stay up to date with the latest expedition cruise offerings and destination knowledge, and bring this expertise into every conversation. A genuine commitment to exceptional service, a consultative sales approach, and a natural curiosity for remote travel are all essential. We’re looking for someone who shares our ambition to redefine what polar travel can be.
Key responsibilities
- Combination of B2C sales (reservation - inbound) and B2B sales (business development / key account management)
- Design and deliver tailor-made travel experiences (private charters)
- Handle each sales enquiry with care and attention, ensuring every opportunity is maximised.
- Consistently meet and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Maintain the highest standards in the quality of products sold and the accuracy of all supporting information.
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout every stage of the guest journey.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and travel agent partners, in person or remotely.
- Strive to exceed client expectations and create genuinely memorable experiences.
- Embrace flexibility and a proactive mindset to support the needs of a fast-evolving, purpose-driven business.
Minimum requirements
- "Demonstrated success in a comparable position, such as Travel Concierge or Polar Specialist, along with a strong network of professional industry contacts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you are great at time management, a quick thinker and extremely empathic.
- IT Proficiency (CRM, and sales / marketing software in general)
- Willingness to travel, we work in tourism, this is not a 9-5 job
- Fluency in English is a must, proficiency is any other language is a plus
